A breakfast to discuss a transition into renewable energy production and jobs. Opening by the Mayor of Fremantle followed by Senator Scott Ludlam with the 2029 presentation, Edwina Davies Ward from Carnegie Wave and a speaker from the Fremantle Community Wind Farm.

This forum is in response to the Australian Uranium Conference held on the same day in Fremantle - a nuclear free zone.

This forum has been organised to take a positive action against the nuclear industry by supporting a preferred industry that has public support - renewable energy. The Nuclear industry has been trying to sell nuclear as the solution to climate change - they have been promoting the replacement of one environmental problem with another. It's time we progress into a discussion about a renewable energy sector which has huge public support, massive advances in technology and a growing competitiveness.

Rather than waiting for Government to take action its time to find out what we can all do to support the transition to renewable energy production and jobs.
