Join Joy Murphy, Wurundjeri Elder on a Pilgrimage to Coranderrk, Healesville. The weekend will be a sustained reflection on the story of Aboriginal people since European settlement using Freedom for Our Lifetime – First Australians: The Untold Story of Australia (SBS)* and William Barak as a focus. We will be led by Wurundjeri elders (descendents of the original Coranderrk community and Custodians of the land), members of the Worawa Aboriginal College community, and others.

Outline:
The pilgrimage runs from Friday evening to Noon on Sunday OR you can come for the day on Saturday.
• Friday 14th (eve.), gather, share a bbq & informally discuss our expectations (Badgers Ck Big 4).
• Saturday 15th, Start 8:30 am at Worawa to participate in a workshop on Aboriginal history in Victoria: including a walk along part of Barak’s journeys and a reflection at the Coranderrk Cemetery beside Barak’s grave, with Joy Murphy.
• Sunday 16th, 8:30 am Mass with Aboriginal Liturgy at St Brigid’s Healesville, morning tea and discussion of your needs in order to continue the journey to ‘Joyful Acceptance’. (End by Noon)
