Support the victims of the recent floods, bush fires and cyclones
- Real climate action now - serious emissions cuts
- 100% Renewables by 2020
There have already been too many deaths from the recent tragic climate related disasters, and a changing climate means these once rare events are likely to increase in frequency and extremity.
...
But we still have time to avoid the worst impacts of climate change if we act now and mobilise as a community to demand a safe climate future.
If not us, who? If not now, when?
Now is the time to demonstrate around the country that we need real action, and that the people are demanding carbon pricing, renbewable energy roll-outs, and climate justice policies.
It should now be clear, after what we have been through as a country this summer, that this is indeed a question of survival.
Similar actions will take place around the country around this time. This will be the inaugural march, with the aim of making the event annual.
We will gather at Victoria Square at 12 noon, before marching down King William St to ANZ and the Commonwealth Offices, to represent our dual targets of coal-supporting corporations and the government.
We will also be launching a climate relief fund, where you will be able to donate to support the victims of recent and future extreme weather events.
Please join us at the Adelaide march to demand a safe climate future!
