Kakadu Acid Test - uranium extraction by acid leaching in a world heritage national park

Despite the worsening environmental management crisis on their hands at Ranger mine in Kakadu, uranium miners ERA are pushing ahead with plans for Acid Heap Leaching - a process never before used for uranium in a climate like ours.

This public meeting will hear from expert speakers including:
Dr. Melanie Bradley (Policy Officer, the Environment Centre NT)
Kirsten Blair (Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation - the organisation of the Mirarr Traditional Owners of the Ranger region - TBC)
Dave Sweeney (Australian Conservation Foundation)
