Hiroshima Day Rally

No Bombs. No Mines. No Excuses.
Sixty four years after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Australian Government is rushing headlong into a nuclear nightmare.
The recent announcement by Environment Minister Garrett of a new uranium mine in South Australia to be operated by Heathgate Resources, a subsiduary of General Atomics a major US arms company puts an end for once and for all to the rhetoric of Australian uranium being used for 'peaceful purposes'.
OzPeace is calling this Rally on Saturday 8 August protesting Australia's involvement in the nuclear war cycle: Steven Starr, a visiting scientist from the US will be joined by Dave Sweeney of the ACF and Felicity Hill from WILPF on the speakers' platform.
