On the 6th anniversary of the day TJ Hickey was impaled on a fence while
being chased by Redfern Police. You are invited to honour his memory,
continue the struggle to stop all deaths in custody and demand an end to the
practice where police misconduct is investigated internally by police.

Support Gail Hickey who will lodge a complaint with UN Human Rights
Committee seeking findings that Australia is in breach of its human rights
obligations in failing to independently investigate TJ Hickey’s death.

The Kulon Progo farmers in the Yogyakarta region of Indonesia have been hit by an enormous challenge to their decades of self-reliance and autonomous practice. Their land is being threatened by the prospect of being turned into an iron mine. Not only will this take away the livelihood of the farmers, but the mining project will have a massive environmental impact upon the land.

Pissed off about sexism, racism and homophobia? Worried about climate change? Appalled by the growing lack of housing affordability and inadequate tenants rights? Grossed out by the cost of childcare? Fed up with ridiculous workloads on the job?

There is an alternative to a world where war seems endless and profit rules. It’s called socialism — the replacement of capitalist rule by a genuine workers’ democracy — and it will guarantee full economic, social, political and legal equality to all who are exploited, oppressed and repelled by the existing system.
