Theatre in Tandanya

Come and join us for live music, acting, (well we’ll try) performance poetry, entertainment plus and all for a good cause. We are raising money to support the Ampiliwatja walkoff and to assist in funding an anti intervention convergence in Alice Springs in July. Not only will you be entertained, you’ll get supper as well. The theatre in Tandanya holds 120 people; we want 120 people@ $10 each. That will pay for 2 days food while in Alice.
It’ll be a part serious, part fun evening. We’ll show a 5 minute film about the walk off.
See a tongue in cheek look at stealing land in 5 easy steps as Eric Nicholson and Clayton Werner ham it up as red neck footie players, while in the background there is a farcical consultation happening with Sue Gilbey as the Minister and John Hartley and Chris Egan trying to get across the message, "but Minister, this is what we said”.
There'll be plenty of other live entertainment, including some brilliant poetry and a screening of a film on Customary Law and Culture. A night not to be missed.
See you there.
As Lilla Watson says
"If you have come to help me, you are wasting your time; but if you are here because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together."
Whether you are an environmentalist, a vegan, an anti-war activist, a champion of human rights, a writer, meat and potatoes lover or a hummer driver, your liberation and mine is tied up with this!
