With a focus on intergenerational exchange and dialogue, fastBREAK is working with the Sydney Design Festival to create a unique morning opportunity for conversations outside the ordinary.

At each monthly fastBREAK session five sharp young industry leaders from various sectors tackle big questions and topics with five-minute responses. These young professionals embody a diverse range of fresh perspectives from within the creative industries, including technology, design, media, science and education. This months speakers will dare to answer the question “Is Old New Again?”.

Featured speakers this July include:
• Emma Elizabeth, living and breathing by her self-created ethos, she is turning heads with her interior designing and styling prowess. Based in Sydney, Emma is a successful freelance commercial stylist & designer and founder of the first online vlog.

• Darryl Nichols is founder of the Garage Sale Trail, a national self organising, local community engagement platform & pop-up marketplace. He is a creative thinker and passionate believer in the power of collaboration.

• Diego Bonetto, also known as Nobody, the trans-cultural critic, takes an interdisciplinary approach to art, allowing him to work collaboratively and individually, with no loyalty to particular media and materials. He is a key member of the artist group SquatSpace, and the printing co-op Big FAG Press.
His activities create dynamic social criticism resulting in site-specific, project-driven interventions.

• Amanda Talbot is the ultimate snoop on good design & latest trends. She is an
renowned authority on interiors, style and design. Ex Associate Editor of British ELLE Decoration and Home Editor of Living, she has been at the centre of emerging trends and has also written extensively on how we live with everyday objects in the home. Amanda Talbot makes her Australian television debut as a Judge on TOP DESIGN hosted by Jamie Durie, coming soon to
Channel 9.

• Mathieu Gallois, has degrees in both fine arts (MA) and architecture (BA). Since 1997, his practice has entailed some 40 national and international art exhibitions, many site and context specific works (that sit somewhere art and architecture) and speculative collaborative ‘activist’ propositions such as www.reincarnatedmcmansion.com and www.1house1000homes.com.
