DRAW: protest Obama's military surge into the Top End

Darwin Residents Against War (DRAW)
invite past members, friends and supporters to join us
on the occasion of president Obama's local visit
to demonstrate opposition to mooted announcements of
* increased US troop activities in the Top End;
* more movements of nuclear warships in Darwin Harbour; and
* a new U.S. base to be established alongside Robertson Barracks

While our local leaders indulge in the glory of a presidential visit,
we're intent on demonstrating that local people maintain a vision for peace.

We're gathering from noon at Parliament House, Thursday 17th November,
with a banner declaring our demands: no U.S. bases / no warships / no war
