Defending Human Rights in Colombia: A High-Risk Activity

Australian volunteer Carly Dawson has spent 12 months in Barrancabermeja, Colombia, providing protective accompaniment for grassroots human rights defenders who are facing threats for their work for human rights.

A public forum exploring the state of human rights in Colombia since the election of Santos, the courageous work of Colombian human rights defenders, and the role of the international community in keeping them safe.
