This international far-right group is holding its 7th summit in Glen Iris, Melbourne on August 30: http://www.endeavourforum.org.au/newsletter/153/wcf-melbourne.html. Organisers are the Endeavour Forum and Knights of the Southern Cross, whose missions are openly misogynist, homophobic and transphobic. Victoria’s rightwing Attorney-General, Robert Clark, will welcome this gathering.
Other parliamentarians involved in the event are Kevin Andrews, federal Minister for Social Services and World Congress of Families’ international ambassador; Eric Abetz, Minister for Employment and slasher of the public sector; anti-abortion crusaders, Bernie Finn and Fred Nile; and Cory Bernardi, known for his homophobic and anti-Muslim zealotry.
The congress is a coming together of a well-connected far-right movement, aimed at advancing Abbot’s budget and policies: to drive women and the most oppressed back to the homes, closets, countries, poverty and Dickensian work hellholes we have struggled to escape and overcome.
