Curtin Convergence 2011 - Refugee solidarity

We'll go to Curtin,
to protest against mandatory detention without charge or trial.
We'll go to Curtin,
in solidarity with those imprisoned there.
We'll go to Curtin,
so they'll know they are not forgotten.
We'll go to Curtin,
to peacefully resist injustice.
We'll go to Curtin,
to act on our own conscience.
We'll go to Curtin,
to defy the secrecy and isolation.
We'll go to Curtin,
to give each other strength.
We'll go to Curtin,
to prove that we are determined.
We'll go to Curtin,
to reject racism and xenophobia.
We'll go to Curtin,
for the sake of our own humanity.
We'll go to Curtin,
because all our rights are connected.
We'll go to Curtin,
no matter who they lock up or for how long.
We'll go to Curtin and all the places like it,
until these places are gone,
until the ideologies they represent are defeated.
