The trees and skyscrappers provided shade for the protesters in a day where temperatures reached 40 degrees. Various Speakers were heard from the Egyptian expatriate community, FAMSY, Australian Asia Worker Links and others.
Jacob Grech who emceed the meeting, said that protests in solidarity were happening in 50 US and Canadian cities this weekend, as well as most major cities across Europe.
A letter was prepared and signed by those present and the Consul, who was working in the Consulate on the 6th floor, came down and received the letter.
