Tex O'Grady and his dog: A feel-good story or a case for the R.S.P.C.A.?

The major news outlets have today promoted the story of Tex O'Grady and his motorcycling dog following the booking of Mr O'Grady by police under RTA laws relating to dogs travelling on motorcycles.

Much has been made of the 'fact' that Tex and the dog have travelled hundreds of thousands of kilometres 'safely'.

I have today attempted to have comments published on the Daily Telegraph website relating to this story because the whole truth has not been told. Perhaps Tex has friends in high places due to his charitable donations. None of my comments have been posted.

The fact is, that Tex's first dog lost its life in an accident when he fell from the bike. The dog was called Cash and he died in 2005.

Jun 24 2005 - Sad News - "Cash", the motorcycling Blue Heeler Cattle Dog, was accidentally killed today in a motorcycle accident. His master, 1978 'Round Australia record holder, and Bears racer, Tex O'grady wasn't hurt. "He lost his footing momentarily and was hit by another vehicle." said Tex. "After the hundreds of thousands of kilometres we've done and all the wheelies and mountain rides, I can't believe the little bloke is gone." he said. "Cash" will be missed by everyone.

How long will Bundy last, I wonder? Tex has been caught speeding on numerous occasions - and I'm talking 280 kph + - a speed he often reached with poor Cash on the bike. I think the RSPCA should look into this. I believe Tex is using the dog for self-promotion. He may indeed give generously to charity but if he wants to risk his life on his Aprila motorbike he should leave the dog at home.

Earlier this year, Bundy was paralysed in a mysterious accident which does not seem to have been properly explained. I question whether, in fact, Bundy has already fallen from the bike and the matter covered up.

The full story has not been told and I hope this new information is sufficient for the Minister for Transport to re-think giving Tex an exemption for his dog to ride on the fuel tank of the bike.

Picture 2: The second motorcycling dog Bundy, who will undoubtedly meet the same fate.

You have made inflammatory and incorrect remarks in your story, which is now in the hands of my Solicitors.

Be careful with your insinuations.

Cash did indeed die after falling from the bike.

The injury to Bundy resulted from the dog falling in a hole in a paddock - no where near a motorbike.

You should also know that the rule adopted by the RTA was done so without consultation with motorcycle riders or farmers (the affected groups of road users) despite the requirement for consultation being in the RTA's own code of conduct.

These same RTA "friends" are doing their best to stop Tex's income so he lacks the funds to fight this in court.

I suggest you modify your statements before a hungry lawyer sees you as a source of easy funds.

It's not possible for a dog to sue! The news stories should have told of the death of your first dog, Tex. And there hasn't been a proper explanation from you about the alleged fall in a hole in a paddock. Dogs are very sure-footed, so I think you owe the public a better explanation than that. The extent of the injuries (paralysis) does not sound like a fall in a paddock to me.

Why not?

Christopher Reeve fell in the paddock and was permanently paralysed.

You make it out like the injuries were done on purpose.

Mulligrubs

What a hero you are! I find it amusing that your name appears to sum up who and what you are, childish and a down right grub!!! My advice to you would be run very very fast if your identity is revealed because I can assure you there is people looking.

You hide behind a known extreme view media (if it can be called that), website and are not of enough of a human to put your identity out there and stand by your claim. Unlike the person you are writing about, any information on him is open for public opinion and you either know him personally or have googled him like everybody else.

What a tosser!!!! But be very very aware that people are looking for you for a please explain, with in the law and outside of the law, so take care of those keyboard jockey fingers my friend and may your existence on this planet and the misfortune of you being an oxygen thief bless you with all thats coming your way.

You make me sick Mulligrubs. How dare you insinuate that this is a case for the RSPCA!! Tex and Bundy do more for people in our society that you do writing this piece of inflammatory bullshit. You're opinion is not valid until you raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity and get out there and help people rather than sitting on your fat arse behind a computer screen claiming to be looking out for the welfare of animals.

Maybe you're just hurting cos no person or animal gives you any love and attention.

MULLIGRUBS, YOU ARE A FUCKING GUTLESS CUNT WHO NEEDS TO WAKE UP TO REALITY.
WHAT YOU'RE SAYING IS LIBEL, SLANDER & DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER. PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU & I PROMISE YOU WILL BE FOUND & MADE ACCOUNTABLE (YOU WILL PAY) FOR WHAT YOU HAVE TYPED.

GET OUT FROM BEHIND THE PROTECTION OF YOUR COMPUTER SCREEN & SHOW YOUR FACE YOU COWARDLY FUCK, CAUSE I'M WILLING TO MEET YA FACE TO FACE & PUT YA STRAIGHT.

YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO HUH??
YOU LOWLIFE PIECE OF SHIT.

How dare someone that doesnt know Tex personally put him down in what he does for charity let alone say untrue things about him , i suguest you get your facts right before spooking off crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
