It still remains important for the Office of the Prime Minister to come clean about the extent of their role in trying to orchestrate members of Aboriginal Tent Embassy to attend the Lobby restaurant on Australia Day.
For the Prime Minister and her Office to hide the facts, the extent of their role, is an immense slur upon Aboriginal peoples and upon the Australian consciousness – the solicited silence, and the manifest imputations upon Aboriginal Tent Embassy by the Office of the Prime Minister cast a dark pall of aspersions upon the integrity of the Office – and is a scandal-in-waiting that unfortunately may take a decade as often occurs for some of the truth to be supported into the public domain.
Police have announced they will not press charges against protesters who arrived outside the Lobby restaurant on Australia Day while Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Opposition Leader Tony Abbott were present.
As a journalist for The National Indigenous Times, I was present at the main entrance of the Lobby restaurant from ‘beginning to end’, and I spoke to the security officers, and I was there when both political leaders were unnecessarily rushed from the restaurant by their security staff and police.
The police investigation into the incident at the restaurant was separate to the already concluded separate Australian Federal Police investigation into who allegedly disclosed the event's details to protesters.
Mr Hodges did not act alone. Two parliamentary sources confirmed this.
The Office of the Prime Minister was extensively involved.
If the Prime Minister and her Office care about the Australian consciousness and in doing what is right they must publicly acknowledge the truth and explain it and in the process remove all the aspersions they have cast and indeed apologise directly and publicly to many peoples.

Yes it's gotta be
Gerry, i think many people know the prime minister knew, it goes without saying but i respect what you're doing here, the apology will make it sink in to people's thinking exactly how wrong it was she did to lie about and the damage she did many people, and it will sink into non-indigenous people that don't blame the wrong people unjustly
yes it's gotta be that she does come clean like you say
