Support the striking chicken workers at Laverton this Sunday! Gather at the community picket at 5pm and meet up with other unionists and community activists. Workers Solidarity Network are teaming up with Occupy Melbourne's union activists to hold a BBQ from 5pm onwards, an opportunity for people to get to know each other, with plenty of entertainment throughout the night.
There is no formal part to this gathering, it's simply an opportunity to meet up with other like minded unionists, whilst supporting some of Australia's most exploited workers.
