A working shower for all Australians? - What is the problem?
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing Forum
Weds 17th October 2012 - 6pm for 6.30pm
Teachers Federation Conference Centre
37 Reservoir St, Surry Hills Sydney
Speakers:
Jeff McMullen, Formerly Four Corners
Paul Pholeros, Healthabitat
Sarah Marland, Amnesty International
The current rate of working showers in over 7,400 Aboriginal houses tested around Australia is only 35%. Evidence assembled over the last 2 years points to this rate dropping to 28% by 2018. How could this be possible given the current $5.5 billion National Partnership Agreement on Remote Indigenous Housing?
