Brisbane Airport: Fire the cleaning contractor demanding sexual favours of his female employees

Petition by
United Voice Queensland

I've worked at Brisbane Airport for six months -- and what I'm just finding out is shocking and needs your urgent help. The cleaning contractor that I work for is being accused of sexually abusing more than five female employees -- threatening them with deportation if they resisted him.

I'm deeply troubled by the details other employees are telling me. I never thought this could happen, and for the contractor to possibly get away with it is sick, wrong and simply unacceptable.

That's why I've started this petition. Everyone who works for this contractor urgently needs support and protection -- the Brisbane Airport Corporation should step in to fire the contractor and protect these female whistleblowers from deportation. And fix their contracting policies to ensure this can never happen again, and alleged abuse like this can never continue unchecked.

If enough airport employees, customers and members of the public speak out, Brisbane Airport CEO Julieanne Alroe will listen. I know she will.

Together, we can repair the damage that's been done and make Brisbane Airport a safer workplace for all its workers. Please sign and share my petition to demand Brisbane Airport take action against this contractor and protect all workers from future abuse.

Thank you so much.
