People from all over Australia called for Christine Milne to be included in the first election debate. Instead, last Sunday the Leaders of the two old parties had little more than a joint press conference. Christine outlined the numerous issues both leaders missed; issues like fixing the mining tax, addressing climate change and treating refugees with compassion.
This Wednesday, Tony Abbott and Kevin Rudd will take questions from an audience of undecided voters, to be broadcast on Sky News, and once again Christine Milne has been excluded.
More than 1.6 million Australians voted for a real alternative last election. We deserve to have an alternative voice heard in these debates. We deserve to have Christine Milne in these debates.
Please tell Sky News that Christine Milne should be included in Wednesday's debate.
On Tuesday August 27 the National Press Club will host a health policy debate. Opposition Health spokesman Peter Dutton, a fomer police officer and businnessman, will debate former Labor staffer and now Health Minister Tanya Plibersek.
Greens Senator Richard Di Natale is a former general practitioner and public health specialist who worked in Aboriginal health in the Northern Territory. He has not been invited to the Health debate.
The last weeks of the election campaign are here, and as the two old parties are separated by less and less, it's more important than ever for undecided voters to hear that there is a better way. Only the Greens will stand up for what matters in this election.
