Australia’s First Nations Political Party (AFNPP)
NT Senate candidate Rosalie Kunoth Monks
Rosalie Kunoth Monks was 16 (pictured) when she was selected to play the starring role of Jedda. She is by any definition, an extraordinary woman. Now she says she has had enough, which is why she is making this bid for the NT Senate on a platform of Treaties and the rolling back of the Intervention. These issues are relevant to all Australians.
Please join us for a night of entertainment and interesting discussion to support Rosalie in her campaign on:
Saturday 24th August at the Capri Theatre
141 Goodwood Road, Goodwood, Adelaide, starting 5.30pm for drinks and ticket purchase @ $25.00.
When the Wurlitzer starts, MC Dr Jared Thomas will introduce the night’s entertainment followed by the screening of SEPTEMBER, directed by Peter Carstairs.
Set in WA in 1968, September is the story of two friends on the cusp of adulthood whose fathers managed to cross social, racial and class boundaries and were firm friends throughout their lives. However, the winds of social change are blowing - Indigenous rights are beginning to be asserted with both positive and negative effects.
Margaret Pomeranz in her review says;
“Something about this film touched me deeply”
Jeff McMullen (reporter, author, speaker; formerly of 60 Minutes) will talk about why he supports Rosalie’s campaign and introduce
