I see no riot or attack on Australia Day but police aggression, how about you?

The incident where Prime Minister Gillard was dragged away by the security forces to the car and speeded away has been portrayed by the media as an attack or riot in Australia Day. Selective scenes have been used to give people the impression of a violence mob threatening the Prime Minister and the Opposition leader; when the motion video footage failed to display evidence of such violence, they then replaced some video footage with photo images of the Prime Minister dragged almost on the ground by the security officer to create the right atmosphere to justify their narration.

The police said that, they will not charge anybody over the incident, and some writers begin to compare the Australia Day incident with the 2005 racially motivated Cronulla Riot; and then believe that it is unfair not to arrest the “rioters” over the incident.

The truth is, the protesters may be noisy by chanting slogan with a small number patting on the restaurant glass window, they are not violence at all and I cannot see any video footage including presented by the Australian media showing any evidence of protesters slamming or smashing the glass window.

Unfortunately, to find out the truth, we have to move away from the mainstream media in Australia for an answer. This Washington Post video with continue footage of the Prime Minister been rushed from the restaurant to the car without any sign of aggression by protesters.

The Juice Media has produced a video on YouTube showing police violence and aggression instead of the protesters.

Anybody who comes by any video footage showing protesters violence please let everybody know by adding a link at the end of this article under the ‘comment’ session.

Colonialism has been resented by the world after the Second World War. It is unwise to continue to celebrate Australia Day base on the arrival of the British Colonist on the 26 of January 1788; the feeling of our First people have to be respected. Australia Day should be an inclusive day that represents all Australians in this country. It is time to remove the Union Jack from our flag and change the Australia Day to another date.

This Juice Media video is inspiring and should not be missed.

i dont think it is right!!!!!!!!!1

I heard no comment from Tony Abbott that said he thought the tent embassy should be torn down it was all all a lie.
What I did see was a Aboriginal man armed with a spear and people smashing on glass windows as they surrounded the building our Prime Minister and Tony Abbott was in.If that was not a attack what is a attack?
I'm sure if hundreds of people surrounded your house and started smashing on your windows and you saw men painted up with spears you would ring the Police and say you were being attacked wouldn't you ?

....for putting out a lie. See http://www.abc.net.au/mediawatch/transcripts/s3424264.htm

But even without the wrongly alleged statement, Aborigines have plenty to be angry at Abbott and Gillard for.

The one and only "spear" in the whole camp was blunt, very light wood, meant only for ceremony. It was not used to threaten. But the holder was smashed in the face and grabbed by the throat by a cop.

No glass was smashed. 2cm thick glass walls were slapped with the palms of hands or thumped with the soft underside of fists. All it was, was a lot of noise. If you saw danger in any of that, you've seen too many Westerns.

No one was threatened, no one was hurt, nothing was damaged. For ten minutes after the pollies left, police roughed up demonstrators, punching, shoving, knocking to the ground, a couple with their hands on unholstered guns.

Unless you were there, your word is nothing.

Check out the Tent embassy spokes man he said "there were no dark skin people banging on the glass window",The funny thing about that is, have a look at the colour of his skin what a racist White Aboriginal he is.

You will see Aboriginal people banging on the window and one has a spear this bloke dose not know what he is talking about.
Also Tony Abbott did not say the things he is accused off.. See media watch http://www.abc.net.au/mediawatch/transcripts/s3424264.htm
The protesters were violent and every one is trying to hide it, even indymedia have stopped comments in this site
http://indymedia.org.au/2012/02/05/no-apologies-are-due-to-either-politi...
Indymedia want this to go away so they stopped taking comments this is censorship and surpression of the truth because they all know they are wrong on this one

If you think we're a joke, why come here?

spear: amply dealt with by now, I will take no more on this aspect.

Banging on windows: ditto

Tony Abbott misquoted - we all know by now, ditto.

Protesters violent/not violent - amply discussed, ditto.

Trying to hide it - not at all, just trying to lift the discourse out of a distracting, boring rut. Feel free to keep posting, but not distracting.

Policy: If posters sidetrack discussion on a continuing basis, we hide their posts.

So, write on any of the above and you'll get binned.
