The Refugee Survivors and Ex-Detainees organisation R.I.S.E. has issued the following call for action to take action against the Malaysian Solution. They offer a number of seteps you take to register your dissent against this barbaric, racist policy which traumatises the most vunerable people even further and makes a mockery of Australia's international legal obligations.

* Fax, email, write and call UNHCR Australia (http://www.unrefugees.org.au/about-us/contact-us), Malaysia (http://www.unhcr.org.my/About_Us-@-Contact_UNHCR.aspx ) and Geneva (http://www.unhcr.org/pages/4a324fcc6.html note: Fax: +41 22 731 9546) asking them NOT to endorse the Malaysia-Australia deal.
* Fax, email, write and call offices of the Australian Prime Minister: Julia Gillard, Immigration Minister: Chris Bowen, Foreign Minister: Kevin Rudd and contact your local Federal MP stating your opposition of the Malaysia-Australia deal (http://www.aph.gov.au/house/members/mi-alpha.asp).
