STIFF GINS & GADIGAL MUSIC SET TO LAUNCH SPARKLING SINGLE TO HOMECROWD
Having recently emerged from an intense period of recording and in anticipation of their full album release, the Stiff Gins – one of Australia’s best known and most loved Indigenous acts – get set to debut their brand spanking new single, Diamonds on the Water and preview a selection of their new songs to devoted fans at Marrickville’s Red Rattler Theatre on Saturday 27th November.
Known for their soulful acoustic power and celebrating 11 fabulous, award-winning years of seductive song, the Stiff Gins’ Nardi Simpson & Kaleena Briggs are excited about their first release from their new recordings.
Inspired by a journey on water, the Stiff Gins explain that Diamonds on the Water expresses the awe, the allure and power of the ocean.
“Diamonds on the Water is the first of our new stories of people and place and we have tried to make it float and sparkle in an honest and meaningful way,” says Nardi Simpson.
Following this month’s official release of Diamonds on the Water, the Stiff Gins prepare for their new album in early 2011 through Gadigal Music - Australia’s premier Indigenous owned and run record label.
