Australia’s climate plan: are you serious?
http://theconversation.com/australias-climate-plan-are-you-serious-22170

Australia is the only country in the world dismantling a working carbon price: one that has, in its short life, already reduced emissions by nearly 40 megatonnes CO2 equivalent. A recent survey shows that three quarters of Australian businesses have already assumed they’ll be charged a carbon price to run their business. Penny van Oosterzee will discuss the environment minister Greg Hunt's proposed Carbon Farming Initiative (CRF), expanding agriculture and its implications for the land sector and biodiversity.

Penny van Oosterzee is Director of Biome5, Senior Research Adjunct James Cook University, and a partner in an ARC research project on cost-effective restoration for biodiversity and carbon outcomes. She has a PhD focused on the Ecosystem Sector and Climate Change. Penny will join us via Skype.
