Rally to commemorate the 52nd anniversary of the Chinese occupation of Tibet

Rally: Thursday, 10 March 2011 at 1.30pm
in front of the Chinese Consulate, 45 Brown Street, East Perth

Tibetans and their supporters living in free parts of the world, annually organise rallies to commemorate the anniversary of the Chinese occupation of Tibet.

These rallies send a clear message to the government of China to immediately restore human rights in Tibet and give the Tibetan people their freedom.

For five decades Tibetans, under the leadership of H.H. the Dalai Lama, have tried to find a peaceful solution for Tibet, while China’s communist regime has continued to oppress the Tibetan people and violate their human rights.

We want to be the voice for the voiceless Tibetan people and protest strongly against the continued Chinese oppression in Tibet.

This year commemorates the 52nd anniversary of the Chinese invasion of Tibet. We invite people who support the cause of the Tibetan people to join this rally outside the Chinese Consulate at 1.30pm on 10 March 2011.
