This is a social project done through the sharing of an experimental documentary and the creation of an interactive space to engage with ideas that aren’t normally disseminated, in which people can connect and discuss experiences and their thoughts about various strategies of struggle. You can browse the site, stream or download the documentary, share your experience, read others’ experiences from around the world and debate ideas.

Protests were held today in several centres across the country to mark BHP Billiton's AGM in Perth. In Melbourne, members of Friends of the Earth ACE collective and activists representing the Indigenous peoples of Latin America held banners outside the company headquarters in Lonsdale Street and distributed pamphlets setting out the case against it.

In response to the Colombian President Alvaro Uribe's call to his ambassadors to ban the screening of Insurgency of the 21st Century, Australian activist groups have started promoting the documentary.

The premiere screening took place on March 6, outside the Colombian embassy in Canberra, Australia. This coincided with a national day of protest against state terror in Colombia. Uribe and his supporters say their continuing repression of Colombian people is part of the “war on terror”.

While the US flag flew at half-mast in memory of the victims of 11 September 2001, representatives and supporters of the Latin-American communities in Melbourne held a small rally to remember the victims of the US-inspired coup in Chile on the same day in 1973, and to demand an end to US interference in the affairs of Latin America.
