What we're being told about ISIS just doesn't add up

A few debate-changing points of information about ISIS:

1. The trapped Yesidis were rescued not by US airstrikes but mainly by a ground offensive by kurdish groups -- anarchist-oriented YPG and nationalist-opportunist PKK who both represent a broad multiethnic regional population and have relatively progressive goals.

ANZAC Day Sydney: Militarism & Repression

In the early hours of April 15 a group of anti-militarist activists gathered in Martin Place. They carried a number of banners and placards which bore slogans such as “NO WAR BETWEEN NATIONS, NO PEACE BETWEEN CLASSES” “FIGHT THE RICH NOT THEIR WARS” and “SUPPORT THE DIGGERS WHO SHOOT THEIR OFFICERS”.

Flashmob protest on 9th anniversary of Afghanistan War

Nine years of Australian defence forces in Afghanistan was remembered by three flashmob die-ins: on the steps of Flinders street station, outside the old GPO, and at the State Library steps today in Melbourne.

Melbourne antiwar activists call for surge in peace movement on 8th anniversary of Afghanistan war

Antiwar activists are holding a two day vigil outside Flinders Street Station to mark the eighth anniversary of the war in Afghanistan. From 8am until 6pm on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th October under huge a banner reading, "End the Afghanistan War" they will recite the names of those killed on all sides of the war.
