4 Sep 15: "The final report of the Joint Select Committe on Constitutional Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples says that community interest in sovereignty and treaty aspirations are separate matters to Constitutional Recognition. Cultural advocate Alec Doomadgee has spoken publicly on these issues as a recognised Law Man for some years now, most notably in his TED-Ex talk earlier this year. He says that until treaties are signed with each nation that the Australian Constitution is not a recognised document under Tribal LAW.. " By Kirstyn Lindsay

31 Aug 15: "Aboriginal Lawyer, Activist and Secretary of the Aboriginal Provisional Goverment, Michael Mansell says First Nations peoples should be offered a range of models to choose from - not just one regarding constitutional recognition. ... He's met recently with several former ATSIC ministers and other prominent Aboriginal people from around the country to discuss several issues. Mr Mansell says areas of concern include Treaty, Self Determination, Autonomy and Revival of Land Rights legislation models. He asks why some of the most important challenges for First Nations peoples are being ignored." By Minelle Creed
