NEW PODCAST!!!- feed://www.outfarpress.com/podcast.xml (128kb Highest Quality)

This week's show features stories from NHK World Radio Japan, Radio Deutsche-Welle, the Voice of Russia, and Spanish National Radio.
From JAPAN- There is a United Nations conference on Climate Change underway in Japan, and they issued a warning of irreversible changes unless immediate actions are taken. North Korea launched missiles this week to express displeasure over the meeting and military drills between Japan, South Korea, and the US. The US State Dept expressed support for student protests in Taiwan. At the Nuclear Security Summit in the Hague Japan agreed to return more than 44 tons of stockpiled plutonium to the US. An accident has suspended the removal of nuclear fuel rods at the Fukushima nuclear facility.
From GERMANY- Germany has offered to help North and south Korea in their desire to reunite. A report from the Nuclear Security Summit in the Hague on Monday, where much of the discussion shifted to the shifting situation in Ukraine and Crimea- Russia was removed from the G-8, which returned to its original formula as the G-7. The US led discussions on further sanctions against Russia, with energy sales being a key issue. In Ukraine a leader in the fascist revolutionary movement was killed by police in a gun battle. Then an interview with a political analyst who says that Russia is much weaker than Putin is currently projecting- Russia has the gross national product the same as Italy and its exports are primarily energy and weapons.
From RUSSIA- For the show this week I again listened to many hours of reports and opinions about what is happening in Ukraine and Crimea. This following piece is again edgy, criticizing the American and European media for extreme bias in their reporting of events in Ukraine. So here is an interview with an American on the VOR.
From SPAIN- President Obama told Europeans that the US will supply gas and other energy products that Russia will no longer be able to, thanks to the US boom in fracking- all the EU has to do is accept the new Trans-Atlantic-Trade Pact. An Egyptian court sentenced 529 members of the Muslim Brotherhood to death for the murder of soldiers. Edward Snowden has released information on NSA hacking into the servers of a Chinese company that it had earlier accused of spying on the US.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://radio.mediageek.net

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via

I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)

"Privatization is presented as being the only alternative to an inefficient, corrupt state. In fact, it is not a choice at all- it is a mutually profitable business contract between the private company (preferably foreign) and the ruling elite of the Third World."
-- Arundhati Roy
