26 Jan 12: "The Australian constitution
The constitution is both a source and a limitation of power. It establishes Federal and State legislatures and limits each government to stay in its own yard. It establishes the High Court to decide disputes between bickering governments. The constitution is the political manifesto of the nation. It is by virtue of the potency of the constitution that recognition of Aboriginal rights must be so carefully approached: crafting a constitution that deals with dispossession, and political and cultural rights for Aboriginal people while acknowledging the real purpose for the existence of the constitution requires some intense deliberation. ... Michael Mansell, Secretary 26th January 2012"

6 Jun 13: "Melbourne Conversations - Constitutional Recognition of Australia's first peoples: Sell out or stepping stone?
The Constitution is considered out of date with the modern reality of Australia; it doesn't recognise Indigenous peoples and it's discriminatory. In the spirit of reconciliation, leading Indigenous and non-Indigenous public commentators discuss the suggested constitutional changes recommended by the "Expert Panel" and the related issues of land rights and sovereignty.
