From Perth Airport - forcible deportation blockaded - Vigil ongoing - Come on out here if you can. UPDATE - two injunctions secured

A Tamil person, fearing for his life if returned to Sri Lanka, Emil, was due to be forcibly deported at 2:05pm from Perth International Airport and due to set foot in Sri Lanka at just after midnight (our time - WST). The Federal Magistrates Court in Sydney heard a last minute plea to review his case and an injunction was sought. While this injunction was being sought and heard, government agencies, in their obvious immorality and in many ways their criminality were prepared to deport him.
He has now been taken off the airplane. If he was on the plane while the appeal for an injunction was being heard then this is unbelievable immorality to have had him on the plane.

Confusion asunder at the Perth Domestic Airport Immigration Centre where a vigil has been underway to protect the rights of Emil and Vithuran(due to be forcibly deported tomorrow) - one of them was bundled into a vehicle by SERCO personnel however this vehicle was blocked by six protestors - there were no arrests and after some time SERCO personnel returned the person to the confines of the IDC - it turned out to be Vithuran, who they were obviously relocating in readiness for tomorrow's disgraceful, despicable and inhumane forcible deportation.

UPDATE: 13.12.2011 - The Injunction for Emil was secured late yesterday in the High Court. This morning an Injuction was secured for Vithuran in the High Court -thanks to the RAC Sydney and lawyers - for the time they cannot be deported.

Matters to be heard in February... Justice should not have to come like this, not have to be hard fought for, and with no promise of civility and propriety - it should be matter of fact. We live in difficult times, with dangerous premises, precedents and ignorances, and without substantive moral political leadership.)(There shall be an action of civil support at the Perth Airport IDC at noon.)

These two persons are frightened, scared out of their minds, worried not only for themselves upon their return however also for their families and friends who may host and support and them. Tamil community has been calling us worried for them.

Fortunately, the protestors held off what was to occur to Vithuran long enough for me to contact en masse the news media who for once turned up in numbers to a predicament that many Australians are oblivious about - this surely had an effect, as mainstream news media is on the alert to the issue and the government, at least for the time being, cannot slide this human rights abuse quietly by... In ther Cabinet reshuffle today Ms Gillard forgot to appoint a Minister for the Common Good, Humanity and Morality... It is laughable that Ms Gillard was once a Minister for Social Inclusion - what a joke, and actually what a lie.

Many thanks have to go to the unrelenting work of Ian Rintoul, of the Refugees Action Coalition Sydney who just does not stop in pursing justice and humanity for these people - he coordinated the legal response. The Refugees Rights Action Network Perth did the job with the visits to Emil and Vithuran in recent days and with the Vigil which kept at bay this clandestine conduct by the Australian government.

It's not over, not by a long way, and the news media needs to get on the case to what is happening - to why we have FORCIBLE deportations, and a NATIONAL INQUIRY into this needs to get underway - we do not need to knock ourselves out again securing these inquiries as we have with the Indonesian children in Australian adult prisons one year later than should be the case, we need this now, in the immediate.

Contact the news media, contact your parliamentarians, contact DIAC, the Office of the Prime Minister - Australians should not have to live in a country that acts in Kafkaesque like ways...

For those who can get to Perth Airport Immigration Detention Centre right now, then do so - the numbers have swelled to thirty protestors on vigil, and will continue to increase - do what you can, people need you.
